Can’t upload your trumpet recordings to TrumpetConvert due to size limitations? Here’s how to reduce your audio file size quickly and easily.

TrumpetConvert cannot transcribe files that are too long or too large. To ensure optimal performance, your files must meet the following requirements:

✅ Audio files must be under 15 MB

✅ YouTube videos must be under 10 minutes

If your file exceeds these limits, here are four simple ways to reduce its size:

🎺 1 - Convert to MP3 format

If your audio file is in WAV or FLAC, converting it to MP3 can drastically reduce its size with minimal quality loss.

🔹 Use this free tool to convert your file: https://convertio.co/wav-mp3/

🎵 2 - Choose a shorter version of your trumpet recording

If you’re not attached to a specific version, try selecting a shorter segment that fits within the upload limit.

Example: If your solo trumpet performance is too long, extract a 2–3 minute passage that includes the main theme.

✂ 3 - Trim your audio file

Want to keep the same version but shorten its length? Use an online audio cutter to select just the portion you want to transcribe.

🔹 Try this tool: https://mp3cut.net/

🎚 4 - Compress your MP3 file

If your MP3 is still over 15 MB, compress it using an audio compression tool — but avoid excessive compression, as it may affect transcription quality.

🔹 Compress your file here: https://www.onlineconverter.com/compress-mp3
📌 Tip: Always use the 30-second free trial to preview your transcription before submitting the full track.
