SaxConvert cannot transcribe files that are too long or too large. To ensure smooth and accurate transcription, the following limits apply:
✅ Audio files must be under 15 MB
✅ YouTube videos must be under 10 minutes
If your file exceeds these limits, here’s how to reduce its size:
🎷 1 - Convert to MP3 format
If your audio file is in WAV or FLAC format, converting it to MP3 can reduce the size significantly.
🎵 2 - Find a shorter version of the piece
If you’re not tied to a specific version, try using a shorter or simplified excerpt of the saxophone recording.
Example: Instead of uploading a 10-minute solo, use a 2–3 minute passage that stays within the file size limit.
✂ 3 - Trim your audio file
Want to keep the same version but shorten it? Use an online audio cutter to extract only the part of the recording you want to transcribe.
🎚 4 - Compress your MP3 file
If your MP3 file is still too large, compress it using a dedicated tool. Just be cautious: excessive compression can affect audio clarity and lower transcription accuracy.
