On GuitarConvert, some songs may not be transcribed correctly due to various factors. Here are the main reasons that might cause transcription issues and how to fix them:
🎸 1) Your song is too large or too long
GuitarConvert has limitations on file size and song length. If your audio file or YouTube video exceeds these limits, the transcription may fail.
✅ Make sure your audio file is no larger than 15MB
✅ YouTube videos should be no longer than 10 minutes
🛑 2) Your audio file contains internal errors
Some files may have corrupt data that prevent GuitarConvert from processing them.
🔹 Try using a different version of the song
🔹 If your file is in WAV format, convert it to MP3—MP3 is easier to process.
🌐 3) There was an internal error on GuitarConvert
Since GuitarConvert operates in the cloud, it depends on its hosting infrastructure. Occasionally, server issues may prevent transcriptions from being processed.
🔗 4) The format of your YouTube link is not supported
Some YouTube links may not be recognized by GuitarConvert. Try retrieving the link in a different way:
1️⃣ Copy the URL from your browser’s search bar
2️⃣ Right-click on a YouTube search result and copy the link
3️⃣ Click the “Share” button on the video and copy the link from the popup
5) Your VPN may be interfering with the transcription
Some users have reported that having a VPN enabled on their device caused transcription processes to fail (e.g., stopping at 90%) or prevented file downloads. If you are using a VPN, we recommend turning it off and trying again. This small change has resolved many similar cases.
