While GuitarConvert is one of the most accurate tools for automatically transcribing guitar pieces into sheet music and tablature, it does not produce perfect results in all cases. To get the most precise transcription possible, be sure to follow our recommendations below:

1) Transcribe only songs that contain solo guitar

GuitarConvert works best with guitar-only recordings. Avoid importing songs that include other instruments or vocals, as they may interfere with the transcription.

Here are some examples of the type of songs we recommend using for transcription:

🔹 Solo acoustic guitar performances

🔹 Electric guitar recordings without heavy effects (distortion, reverb, etc.)

🔹 Fingerstyle guitar pieces

2) Provide a high-quality audio file

The better the audio quality, the more accurate the transcription. Avoid files with:

Crackling, background noise, or poor recording quality

Multiple overlapping instruments or excessive audio effects

3) Avoid overly complex guitar pieces

Guitar music with fast arpeggios, complex chord voicings, or rapid note sequences can be challenging for automatic transcription. For best results, choose simpler arrangements of your favorite guitar pieces.

4) Enter your song’s musical information

Before each transcription, you can manually input details about your song, such as:

Time signature (4/4, 3/4, etc.)

BPM (tempo)

Providing this information helps GuitarConvert refine the transcription and deliver more accurate results.
