Even if you follow all our best practices, FluteConvert may still produce occasional transcription errors. Automatic flute transcription is a technically complex process, and issues such as wrong notes, missing articulations, or timing inconsistencies can sometimes occur.
Here’s how you can correct them:
1) Instantly edit your sheet music in our in-app editor (Premium Only)
If you’ve subscribed to a plan and transcribed a full track (not just the free 30-second preview), you now have access to our built-in sheet music editor right after your transcription is complete.
With this editor, you can:
- Visually correct wrong notes directly on the digital sheet music.
- Add or remove notes, adjust durations, time signatures, and dynamics.
- Play back your transcription using realistic sounds.
- Print your final sheet or export it as PDF, MIDI, or MusicXML.
- Work interactively on desktop, tablet or smartphone, without installing anything.
This feature is seamlessly integrated into the sheet music view and requires no software download or file export.
2) Try a different version of the piece
If you’re not attached to a specific recording, try using an alternate version of the same flute piece.
To improve accuracy:
✅ Use a clear, solo flute recording
✅ Avoid live or noisy environments
✅ Choose simplified or student-friendly arrangements
✏ 3) Manually correct the errors in the MIDI file
If you want to keep a specific version, the best method is to manually edit the MIDI file to correct note durations, rhythm alignment, or pitch issues.
Here are some free tools to help with this:
• Signal
Once you’ve edited your MIDI, you can export it to PDF and MusicXML using tools like MuseScore or Flat.io to get a clean sheet music layout.
🎼 4) Provide musical details before transcribing
You can improve accuracy by entering basic musical information before the transcription:
✅ Time signature (e.g., 4/4, 6/8)
✅ BPM (tempo)
This helps FluteConvert structure the rhythm more accurately.
