On DrumConvert, some drum recordings may fail to transcribe properly due to a few common issues. Below are the main reasons why a transcription might not work — and how to fix them:

🥁 1) Your audio file is too large or too long

DrumConvert has limitations on file size and track length. If your audio file or YouTube video exceeds these limits, the transcription may not go through.

✅ Make sure your audio file is no larger than 15MB

✅ YouTube videos should be no longer than 10 minutes

💡 Tip: If your file is too large and in .wav or .flac format, convert it to .mp3 to reduce its size before uploading. You can use this free tool: https://convertio.co/wav-mp3/

❌ 2) Your audio file contains internal errors

Some files may contain corrupt or unreadable data that prevent DrumConvert from processing them correctly.

🔹 Try using another version of your drum track

🔹 If your file is in WAV format, convert it to MP3 for better compatibility

💡 Convert WAV to MP3 here: https://convertio.co/wav-mp3/

🌐 3) There was an internal error on DrumConvert

DrumConvert runs on cloud infrastructure. Occasionally, temporary server issues may prevent a transcription from being processed.

🕒 Solution: Wait a few minutes and try your transcription again.

🔗 4) Your YouTube link format is not supported

Some YouTube URLs may not be recognized by the system. Try copying the link using a different method:

1️⃣ Copy the URL directly from your browser’s address bar

2️⃣ Right-click on a video result in YouTube search and choose “Copy link”

3️⃣ Click the “Share” button under the video and copy the link from the popup

🥁 Still having trouble? Try using a different YouTube link or upload an MP3 file instead.

5) Your VPN may be interfering with the transcription

Some users have reported that having a VPN enabled on their device caused transcription processes to fail (e.g., stopping at 90%) or prevented file downloads. If you are using a VPN, we recommend turning it off and trying again. This small change has resolved many similar cases.
