While BassConvert is one of the most accurate tools for automatically transcribing solo bass performances into sheet music and tablature, it may not always produce perfect results. To get the most precise transcription possible, we recommend the following:

1️⃣ Use recordings that feature only solo bass

BassConvert works best with bass-only recordings. Avoid using songs that include other instruments or vocals, as they can interfere with the transcription process.

Good candidates for transcription include:

🔹 Solo electric or acoustic bass performances

🔹 Clean bass playthroughs (no drums, guitar, or keys)

🔹 Isolated bass parts from studio sessions

2️⃣ Provide a high-quality audio file

The better the audio quality, the better the transcription. Avoid recordings with:

❌ Background noise or crackling

❌ Low volume or distortion

❌ Other instruments layered over the bass line

3️⃣ Avoid overly complex or heavily processed bass lines

Very fast slapping or tapping passages, heavy effects like distortion or chorus, or complex polyphonic playing can reduce transcription accuracy. For best results, use clear, melodic, and rhythmic basslines.

4️⃣ Enter musical information before transcription

Before starting the transcription, you can help the AI produce better results by inputting:

✅ Time signature (e.g., 4/4, 3/4, 6/8)

✅ BPM (tempo)

Providing this context helps BassConvert align rhythm and bar structure more accurately.
