BassConvert cannot transcribe files that are too long or too large. To ensure smooth transcription, make sure your files meet the following requirements:

✅ Audio files must be under 15 MB

✅ YouTube videos must be under 10 minutes

If your file exceeds these limits, here are some easy ways to reduce its size:

🎸 1 - Convert to MP3 format

If your audio file is in WAV or FLAC, converting it to MP3 can significantly reduce its size while maintaining good audio quality.

🔹 Use this free tool: https://convertio.co/wav-mp3/

🎵 2 - Use a shorter version of the piece

If you’re not attached to a specific arrangement, try transcribing a shorter section of the bass track.

Example: Instead of using a full-length solo or jam, pick a 2–3 minute excerpt that fits within the size limits.

✂ 3 - Trim your audio file

Want to keep the same recording but make it shorter? Use an online audio cutter to extract only the part you want to transcribe.

🔹 Try this tool: https://mp3cut.net/

🎚 4 - Compress your MP3 file

If your MP3 file is still too large, you can compress it — but do so carefully, as too much compression can reduce transcription quality.
